Ms. Brown’s 5th grade social studies class brought the Constitutional Convention to life in a fun and creative way—by designing a trail mix! As they collaborated, students demonstrated key skills such as cooperation, negotiation, and compromise to agree on the perfect combination of ingredients, just like our founding fathers did for our government 239 years ago! We have so much fun doing this every year with students! It gives them a point of view of the difficulties our founding fathers faced at the convention in a fun, engaging way! Learning social studies can be fun and tasty!
