Students have been focusing their learning around what British Actions angered the colonists in the 1700s. One of the big events was the Boston Massacre. Students took an in depth look at a primary source piece of propaganda from the 1700s, the “Bloody Massacre”. After careful learning using an interactive tool on KET Learning platform students analyzed the image and decided if it depicted the true story about the Boston Massacre. Students then debated where they had to defend their position debating which party involved in the event should be held responsible?

After learning in depth using the KET PBS Learning Media resource of using the interactive image of Paul Revere’s etching of the Bloody Massacre, students debated the question: Who should be held accountable for the event that took place on March 05, 1773?

Students used chrome books to use the KET PBS Learning Media resource to learn indepth about the Boston Massacre. Students used the interactive image and learned the background information surrounding the image and gathered evidence to deepen their understanding of the significance of the primary source. They also used the evidence to prepare for the debate.
