Mrs. Daltonś fifth grade Social Studies students celebrated Christmas around the world by researching and preparing presentations to share with the K-4 students at Oak Hill Elementary. The students were divided into groups representing 23 different countries. Each group created a google slide presentation (with videos and music), a trifold poster with pictures about traditions, foods, and religion, and a craft from the country. All of the students at Oak Hill were given the opportunity to visit each country, listen to the presentations, and get their passports stamped. Not only did we learn about history and culture, but we also were able to incorporate reading, writing, music, art, and technology into our vibrant learning day.
