Class Constitution with AI

Third grade students at Menifee Central Elementary in Miss Willoughby’s class recently completed an exciting civics project using artificial intelligence. Students worked together to turn classroom rules into positive “I Can” statements, then used AI tools to help create their very own Class Constitution.

As part of the project, students learned about civics and citizenship by discussing the rules, proposing ideas, and participating in a classroom vote. Before the Constitution was accepted, students cast ballots to decide if they agreed with the rules—just like citizens do in real life! Once approved, each student proudly signed the Constitution, showing their commitment to being responsible, respectful members of their classroom community.

This hands-on project helped students build skills in decision-making, responsibility, and civic engagement while safely and thoughtfully using technology to support learning.
