Our school hosted our first annual Student-led Academic Showcase. Parents and families were invited in, and students showed them, taught them, and LED presentations about what they had been learning. Parents and families were in AWE as students showcased their work, gleaming with pride. It was truly one of the best parent and family nights I have ever experienced as an educator. My students taught their parents all about our ANCIENT CIVILIZATION Unit, where they learned how to identify the central idea within a text. They are now true experts on the Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilizations!
KSA Scores were recently released and all of our students celebrated because our school is BLUE! Actually, all four schools in my small city district are BLUE SCHOOLS. We are so proud of all of our students!
